First thing is first, I totally switched websites to host my blog on. Wordpress doesn't handle pictures as well as I would like, so here we are on blogger! I did copy and paste my previous blogs here so we'll never have to ever go back to Wordpress.
We've been moving along pretty slowly the last few days as we have been waiting for our masks to come in the mail so we can start sanding. They arrived today but mine seems a little big for me, maybe I can get Jeffery to do some sanding for me tonight.
Alright picture time!
Here are the before photos:
I went to town on the brick back splash. Let me tell you if they ever invent teleporters I will purchase one for the sole purpose of going back in time to smack whoever put them up.
Look actual proof that it's not just Jeffery who works in the kitchen.
The side wall was not too hard to take down but the back wall where the grease from the stove had built up was the worst project I've ever taken on. All the bricks came off super easy but none of the glue came up with it. The other wall it all came off together. Nope. Not the case here. I spent maybe 5 hours on this and the last 3 and a half where just removing that stinking glue!
Hubby cut up where that awful wiring was and cut a piece of drywall to fit. He also replaced the outlet that was there as well as added an extra outlet because this kitchen really lacks in that department.
And now he's outside tilling me up a spot to do some planting, so tomorrow I'll have to get some good shots of the plants going in!
Internet was installed today!
Dishwasher is sitting in the living room waiting for hubby to get up the motivation to wire that in..
We're getting there!
What we started with....

Thanks for stopping by!

DeleteAs hard as it all is, it's nice to look at the finished product and say, "we did this TOGETHER".
