  Hi there! Firstly let me taunt you with tacos. Mine. His. Everything but the kitchen sink has been pulled out.. I snapped a quick picture of our before sink. He rolls his eyes about my blog but he always seems to pose nicely for me ;) No more sink! (That also means no dishwasher for a while again.) Started working on the cabinet on the far right side. This is where that peninsula used to be. Before I started painting. All primed. (I've been taking a break lately..  so paint hasn't gone on yet..  It will eventually.) Now for some counter top space. No tiles yet. I need to paint the other cabinets and then we're going to tile the counter all at once. Then we can put in our nice new sink and faucet. :) This was a short little update for now. Hi there! Today I decided to do something a little different with the blog. Because it's my blog, and I can do what I want. And you can not read it if you so desire. But first. I got the upper cabinets fully painted. I need to do that window but some other things need to be done before I can get to it.. Like the sink needs to come out. I'm going to paint the trim around the window the same Grey Silt color that's inside the cabinets. The lower cabinets are all the lighter color. So here's a good example of what the color is around the outside of the upper cabinets. Also remember how I said those slits would be gone? Tada! It's like they were never there. The cabinets on either side of the sink aren't done yet.. mainly because Jeffery has to do some customizing in them first.. and also because after a bunch of sanding and 6 coats of primer they're still greasy and gross.. So more sanding and cleaning and primer must be done ...

Hi there! It's been a while. We've been busy, making progress slowly, lots of primer, lots of paint, lots of wood filler. Jeffery made the little cabinet beside the dishwasher.  And he made the foundation for the counter top over where the microwave used to be... I'm going to start refering to this as the stand  mixer area.. because that's what it is.. I got busy with the wood glue. These slits will be gone! I swear it! Arthas got busy watching us.. and using Mr. Monk as a pillow. Then I got busy with some artsy fartsy stuff. We spent a good deal of time looking like this.. we sanded and sanded and sanded and he's still sanding. Then I cleaned all the cabinets forever, until my arm died. Jeffery fixed up the wiring to the microwave.. it's on it's own circuit now.. instead of sharing with not only the furnace room lights, but all of the power to our bedroom and the empty room.
