Finished Bathroom

Hi there and welcome back to our home.  It's been a long time, silly Emily just remembered I never wrote up this last blog post about the bathroom. So without further ado, here is where we left off. The whole bathroom was gutted included subfloor. Jeffery replaced the subfloor, reinsulated, added new drywall and, we had just finished installing the shower. Here you see that we have primed the walls. The drywall was green, and this primer, although it looks white in this lighting, was tinted green. In this picture the green tint is much more visible. Now to paint. Jeffery cut in where I couldn't reach and rolled paint up near the ceilings, and then I rolled paint behind him at more Emily appropriate heights.  We went for a nice Earthy green. We may or may not have started running out of paint and ended up adding water to the can to finish behind where the sink would be and above the doorway. You can't even tell. Shower Feng Shui

Welcome back! Sometimes blog post titles make sense, sometimes they're inside jokes.  The shower is done! Here's a look at the process. Firstly, Jeffery painted a layer of RedGard on the wall. It's a thick "paint" that turns into a waterproof plastic layer on the wall after you roll it on. And Jeffery's back in the tub to do some measuring. Then he cut the tiles, mixed the mortar, and started tiling away. I handed him tiles and spacers, he laid them. It took a few days because we were being lazy, and also Jeffery did the math wrong and we needed 6 more tiles, but Lowe's was closed. His son makes that same face when he's concentrating. Calvin wasn't happy that he couldn't be in the way. Bullnose around the window. Tiling done and waiting to cure so we can grout.
