Marble

Hi there! Here we are with painted cabinets.

I decided to do the trim around the window Valspar's Grey Silt. (The same color as the inside of the cabinets.)

You can see the finished product below.

My darling husband is attaching the OSB for our counter tops.

And we got the dishwasher mounted into the cabinet.

Jeffery cut a hole for the sink.

Now for some backer board.

I got the walls above the counter tops painted and a little on the side.

Cutting the tiles.

The dogs hung out with us outside while Jeffery was cutting tile and I was tending the garden.

My tomato plants for homemade salsa!

Tiles all cut!

Mixing up the thin set to glue the tiles down.

Jeffery showed me how to apply it and then I buttered them all up while he placed them along the wall.

He then got all the tiles stuck down and let them dry while we were on vacation.

Then we came home and he did the grouting.

Pre-grout photo.

Jeffery applied and Josh went behind him with the damp sponge.

And I thawed out some fruit and chopped it for smoothies. (I also went behind them with paper towel to get any grout that ended up on my nice painted walls off.)

We let the grout dry. And Jeffery installed our new white outlets and covers.

And then I removed the left over grout haze from the sponge bath Josh gave.

Jeffery installed our sink.

That's it for this update! Thanks for stopping by! -Em

P.S. Remember the sink before?

  1. The tile is absofruitly beautiful! It matches your color scheme perfectly and looks so stinkin' classy. I'm jealous. I might need to talk J into a renovation now. ;)
